True Value LLC is one of the world’s largest hardware wholesale distributors. It includes approximately 4,500 independent retailer locations worldwide operating under the True Value, True Value Rental, Home & Garden Showplace and Induserve Supply stores. True Value LLC manufactures paint brands for True Value retailers and third-party customers. Its EasyCare brand of interior and exterior paints and Majic paints are manufactured in Cary, Illinois and distributed globally to hardware and farm/Ag retail stores.

In November 2024, Do it Best completed its acquisition of True Value following a Chapter 11 sale process initiated in October. The transaction was designed to stabilize and grow the True Value brand, which now operates as a subsidiary. Dent Johnson was appointed President of True Value, leading a newly named leadership team overseeing integration and long-term strategy.

In March 2024 True Value received the inaugural ESG and Community Award from Allergy Standards for its EasyCare® paint line and community-focused initiatives.

In April 2024 True Value launched its “Hardware Hero” campaign, the brand’s first major ad push in a decade, aimed at empowering DIYers and boosting local retail visibility. In the same month, the company expanded its partnership with Habitat for Humanity by donating over $500,000 in products to ReStores in several U.S. cities.
